Counselling
Counselling is a form of “talking therapy.” A counsellor’s goal is not to tell you what to do, but instead, guide you to be more self-aware, explore your thoughts and feelings, or find closure to a past event or trauma.
How does it work?
There is no one set way to counselling. Each session is tailored to the individual, based on their history and personality. There are many approaches to counselling, some of which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. Depending on your individual case, your counsellor will work with you to resolve your thoughts or concerns.
